Tis the season of good will, as they say, but Keith Pringle from Clones in Co Monaghan has gone the extra mile by offering to let those who have no one to share Christmas Day with to come spend it with his family.
Keith posted on his Facebook page:
It wasn't until last year I even thought about people who have no family on Christmas Day. A good friend of mine has no family left and no where to go.
Again last week speaking to another lady who was in the same position got me thinking this must be more common than I had thought. A family day for most must be the loneliest day of the year for those People.
I would like to invite anyone who has no one on Christmas Day to come and join my family for Christmas dinner.
I can provide transport.
So if you or anyone you know is going to be alone on Christmas Day please message me.
My family and I would love to see you.
He could have a packed house come Friday week.
