UTV Ireland's Viewing Figures Are Much, Much Worse Than Expected

4,700. That's the number of people who tuned into UTV's main news bulletin on Monday afternoon.

UTV Ireland started broadcasting on 1 January.

Cynics greeted it as another vehicle on which to watch Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Unsurprisingly, these are the two best performing shows on the network.

Here are their top 10.

UTV Media is predicting that it will lose €16.2 million on UTV Ireland this year. This is double the number that was forecast three months ago.

It has shifted it's evening news bulletin from 6.30 to 5.30 but has been destroyed by TV3 thus far, which is pulling in 93,000 viewers on average.
