There's Big News On The Simpsons' Plans For Homer And Marge Next Season

In what seems to be yet another publicity stunt from a show that should be embarrassed to use the same name as the best TV show of the 1990s, news has broken that Marge and Homer will legally separate in the first episode of new season of The Simpsons.

Last year they killed off 'iconic' character Rabbi Krustofki, last week they revealed that Sideshow Bob will actually kill Bart in the 2015 Halloween episode, and now it's emerged that Homer will leave Marge and shack up with a pharmacist, voiced by Girls star Lena Dunham.

I presume it's only for one episode, with writer and producer Al Jean telling Variety:

In the premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who’s voiced by Lena Dunham. We’ll have cameos from the other women from “Girls.”

Ugh. Who even cares any more. I'm going to just watch best of montages on repeat instead.
