With just over a week to go until the new season of the NFL kicks off, there couldn't be a more appropriate time for the release of the first trailer for the upcoming movie 'Concussion'.

Head injuries are a huge concern for all sports people and a topic that has come to the fore more and more in recent years, but is a particular problem in the NFL, with the sport seeing a high number of players retiring due to head injuries.

The film is based on the true story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, a forensic neuropathologist and his struggle with the NFL to inform the public of the seriousness of the condition Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a neuro-degenerative disease caused by repeated head trauma, which he first discovered in a pro player.

The film, written and directed by Peter Landesman, featuring a cast including Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks and Luke Wilson, the film is set for release on 25th December and judging by the trailer it's going to be an intense ride.
