Watch: Americans Watch Father Ted For The First Time And Haven't A Clue What To Make Of It

Father Ted is one of the most iconic shows in the country and we are very protective over it but with it's very Irish phrases and dry Irish humour it's understandable that some people might find it a little difficult to comprehend.

So when Buzzfeed sat a group of Americans down to watch our beloved Father Ted, obvious confusion soon followed.

The first, and probably more bizarre concern was the font used in the opening titles followed by dismay at them pushing a wheelchair-bound person over. They grew to enjoy it but one nutter had the balls to say that he didn't find it funny. WHAT?

There is an upside though, the same nutter also said he liked Father Dougal, so we forgive him. Others even went as far as to say they fancied Dougal as well as having a fondness for Father Jack and John and Mary from the shop.
